Haji Mohammad Mohaqiq is an Afghan politician who represents the persecuted Hazara sect, who make up the majority of asylum seekers from Afghanistan. Mr Mohaqiq is the first Hazara MP to visit Australia. While here he hopes to speak to the federal government about issues like detention, and the forced repatriation of failed asylum seekers. He also brings a message of support for Hazara people now living in Australia.
