Professor of Law and Indigenous studies at the University of Technology Sydney – Larissa Behrendt – has become the first Aboriginal person to present the Clare Burton lecture series. The series has traditionally brought a focus to gender equity issues with presentations in six capital cities; but Prof Behrendt has looked instead at issues faced by Indigenous women – and gained a great response from audiences around the country so far.
