A newly published study is urging policymakers to improve contact between parents with lived experience of incarceration and their children by embracing technology in prisons.

Researchers from UNSW Canberra, the University of New England and The Australian National University, found better use of technology within the Australian prison system can help to support families within the criminal justice system and facilitate an easier transition back into society.

Tune FM’s Ash Taylor spoke to Dr Lukas Carey from the University of New England, about his own lived experience and the findings of the study.
