Pressure on Australia on rising emissions ahead of Paris signing

Australia is under pressure to get serious on reducing its emissions with the Paris climate agreement due to be signed in New York tomorrow.

It comes as Papua New Guinea’s Ambassador to Australia Charles Lepani confirmed his government thinks our coal industry needs slow down.

And even though we’re due to sign the agreement, data released at the start of the year shows our emissions keep rising.
