Nijole Naujokas and Pas Forgione discuss poverty and hardship in Australia

For many Australians, financial hardship is a well-known reality. The sting of this hardship is made doubly difficult with negative media portrayals and common ‘dole bludger’ stereotypes.

 

Anti-poverty week gives voice to those who often find themselves being talked about, but rarely being heard.

 

The Wire’s Leah Blankendaal spoke to Pas Forgione of the Anti-Poverty Network and activist Nijole Naujokas about what it means to speak about financial hardship.
