Earlier today Portugal became the third European country to seek a bailout from the European Union and International Monetary Fund , asking for 193 billion dollar loan. Professor Justin o’Brien from the University of New South Wales is currently in Ireland – he says that Ireland which received a bailout last year has suffered terribly but there are lessons to be heeded from how they are coming to terms with their downturn in fortunes .
