Kevin Rudd may have taken a beating in Parliament over his meetings with a disgraced former-WA premier, but a poll released today suggests that the Government’s so-called mud slinging over the Brian Burke affair, may have in fact helped the Opposition Leader’s cause. The ACNeilsen poll released today has Labor way out in front on the Coalition, at 61 per cent to 39, on a 2-party preferred basis, and Mr Rudd extended his lead over John Howard as preferred Prime minister. He’s now on 53 per cent to the PM’s 39.
