A Papua New Guinean woman has flown all the way to Brisbane to hand deliver 500 protest letters to an Australian mining company only to turn up to the office which was suddenly closed for the day. Landholders in PNG are demanding the company drops its plans to dump toxic mine waste into the sea. But Highlands Pacific is adamant this waste won’t harm the environment.
