Is modern computer technology changing the way our brains work? Baroness Professor Susan Greenfield is an eminent researcher on what makes our brain tick, and is outspoken in her views on the possible negative effects of modern computer technology on the human brain. She worries that things like social networking sites such as facebook, and video games might be creating a lack of empathy in society. Baroness Professor Greenfield is back in Australia from Britain this month to receive the accolade of Australian Society for Medical Research Medallist 2010. The Wire caught up with her for a chat and asked her if her statement that in modern society science should be as easy to talk about as football was happening.
