Eight members of News of the World editorial staff, including ex- News International chief Rebekah Brooks, have been charged today for their role in the notorious phone hacking scandal.
The tabloid was closed 12 months ago after it was alleged journalists hacked the phone of 13-year-old Milly Dowler, who dissappeared in 2002.However, Brooks and her co-accused have denied the charges.
