Rudolf Steiner is best known in Australia as the father of an alternative brand of education – there are more than 60 such schools around the country – but the Steiner philosophy is also being applied to farming. Richard Evans talks to viticulturalist Dan Lavrencic and wine maker Michael Paxton about some of the more unorthodox methods they employ at the Paxton vineyard in McClaren Vale while Anton Van Klopper speaks about the holistic benefits, to man and beast, of bio dynamic farming.
