Animal activist group PETA says that many Australian’s are yet to understand the suffering that animals must endure through the process of live export. A protest has been held in Sydney’s busy Martin Place today, in order to open up people’s hearts and minds to the prospect that there is no humane way to transport these animals. PETA are unhappy with the Abbott government’s current stance on live export and are looking to see a chilled meat trade come to fruition.
