Both the Green and Liberal parties have agreed on tighter assets tests, with cuts to pensioners on the horizon. The deal will mean that 170,000 pensioners with modest assets will receive thirty dollars more a fortnight. As a result, the Government will save nearly $2.5 billion over four years. Superannuation has also been put on the table, with hopes to introduce tax concessions to some of the wealthier people.
