The Federal government has passed the energy bill with the assistance of the crossbench. The bill is designed to cap energy prices and provide aid to Australians and small businesses who need support with energy prices.

The Greens and Independent Senator David Pocock both voted for the governments bill, but have voiced concerns that it does not go far enough.
