Regular Canberra correspondent Bernard Keane discusses today’s parliamentary debate over the Gillard proposed amendments to the Migration Bill.

Amending the Bill would mean the government can return to the Malaysia solution to solve its ongoing political problem of how to deal with the asylum seekers. Keane says the Opposition continues to play the issue and not help solve a problem that will be theirs when they come to office.
