Advertising on television is usually a one-way street. But today parents had the chance to sell their message to food advertisers who target their kids, at the TV Food Annual Awards. For the second year in a row, McDonalds won the The Pester Power Award for its use of toys in their Happy Meal promotion. Weet Bix was the Parents Choice for its use of sports stars the Soccerroos. The Awards are voted on by members of the Parents Jury, an online network for parents to voice their views on food and activity.
