In Pakistan’s Balochstan and Sindh provinces, 5.4 million people have been displaced by floods during the start of this year’s monsoon season. While international aid organisations are trying to deal with this latest humanitarian disaster, climate science indicates these events will only become more frequent.

Close to a million families in Pakistan still remain homeless as a result of last year’s floods.Record rainfall at the start of this year’s monsoon season has destroyed 650,000 homes in Sindh and Balochistan provinces.
