Pakistan bans social networking sites

The Pakistani government recently banned a host of social networking sites in response to the publication of anti Islamic material, specifically images of the prophet Muhamad, on Facebook and Youtube. This decision has caused outrage amongst the Pakistani educated elite and an estimated 20 million internet users. Prominent internet blogger and writer Keiran Salsone, President of the Pakistani Association of Australia Iftikhar Rana, and a spokesperson for the Queensland Muslim community, Yasmin Khan caught up with Dominic Geiger to chat about the issue.
