A group of Indigenous artists from the Pilbara in Western Australia have traveled across the country to share their fears with the world: That proposed uranium mines in their native title territory will divide their country and destroy their culture. The Kintyre uranium mine proposal gained conditional federal approval in April, but will only proceed if the uranium price recovers. In the meantime the Martu community is calling on the government to provide better protection for their land.
