A recent Canadian study has found that most fishing countries in the world are not following a UN voluntary code designed to keep the oceans healthy and producing. Researcher Pramod Ganapathiraju says the results of the study are very disappointing and his team has called for the code to be legally enforced. Meanwhile a new documentary “The End of the Line” tells the same story in a more emotional way. Investigative reporter Charles Clover whose work formas the basis of the film warns that if consumers don’t send a message to governments and fisheries there won’t be any fish left to eat within 30 years.
