Opposition leader Bill Shorten lays out Labor’s plan for 2017

The opposition leader, Bill Shorten has outlined the Labor party’s vision for the upcoming year, in his first address to the National Press Club in Canberra.

Shorten’s address focused on Jobs, 457 work visas, housing affordability, vocational education and improving parliamentary transparency.

It is uncertain if Shorten can make his vision a reality, but economists are cautiously optimistic.
