One in the three have experienced mental illness: study

A study released today has revealed that mental illness is more common in Australia than it was previously thought. The six month study by the Wesley Mission found that more than a third of Australians have suffered from a mental illness – much higher than the often quoted figure of 20 per cent. Despite the rising numbers, the research has also revealed a continued stigma surrounding mental health, particularly in the workplace. The Wire was there for the launch of the report.
