Picture one billion women from around the world dancing up a storm. That’s exactly what happened this Valentine’s Day during the One Billion Rising event, which took place to raise awareness of violence against women.

February 14th is known for Valentine’s day, a day in which to express love for one another. For the global Campaign One Billion Rising it was a day to show solidarity in facing violence against women as people across the world participated to get the message across.
