Olympic Torch reaches Everest as Kathmandu suffers

China has been determined to get the troubled Olympic torch to the top of Mount Everest and today it succeeded. Meanwhile in Kathmandu protests continue to be brutally suppressed by the Maoists who now hold power. Spokesman for the Tibetan community Tenpa Dugdak explained the latest news from his colleagues in Kathmandu but says its important that a few bridges start to be built between Chinese and Tibetan Australians.
