Earlier this week The Wire reported on the government’s national security committee’s consideration of exporting uranium to India. Late last night the Federal government announced exports of yellow cake WILL go ahead but only if India adheres to strict conditions including an upcoming agreement with the United States allowing international inspectors into Indian reactors. The incident has once again put Australia’s own nuclear energy debate in the spotlight.
