While Australia looks to the future of nuclear power, in Europe it is often the past that looms over discussions in particular the Chernobyl disaster. Last week in the French city of Strasbourg Russian documentary maker Vladimir Tscherkoff presented two documentaries about the 1986 nuclear meltdown. The film night was organised by local anti-nuclear group Stop Transport part of an eight-hundred strong federation of anti-nuclear groups in France.
