The nuclear power industry hasn’t yet convinced voters that a reactor in their backyards is a good idea, but most Australians are pretty vague about what it would mean. After all our only experience has been Lucas Heights. In America there are 130 reactors….. and what to do with the waste has become a huge issue, especially in Nevada where the US government had planned to site a nuclear waste dump. US nuclear expert and community activist Kevin Kamps is touring Australia talking about the Nevada experience.
