A peak Indigenous health group has labelled the Prime Minister’s response to a child sexual abuse report in the Northern Territory as “a terrorist attack on human rights.” The National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation says it welcomes efforts to address the problem, but says there has been no consultation with the sector and they fear how the reforms will be rolled out. Mr Howard’s measures to tackle the issue has sparked debate from all sides.
