NSW Police fear that reports of indigenous child paedophilia within the trucking industry are not isolated incidents. Communities in northern NSW of Boggabilla and Moree say they’ve known for a while about Aboriginal girls – some as young as eight – trading roadside sex for cash or drugs. Today the NSW police force announced a five thousand dollar cash reward for information leading to convictions. The scheme is a joint initiative between the government and the NSW Aboriginal Land Council who say they’re concerned by the failure to find the offenders.
