NSW joins in national trend of cutting TAFE funding

The trend in state funding has continued in recent weeks, with the announcement that NSW will join Victoria, in making substantial cuts to TAFE education funding. The NSW state government has announced that up to 800 jobs are set to go, fees will rise by 10 percent and concession fees will double. Advanced diplomas will now cost in the thousands per year.
