NSW Government services abandon families

Struggling parents and child support agencies have accused the NSW Department of Community Services (or DOCs) of abandoning them. Families under strain from issues such as mental health problems, domestic violence, addiction or financial hardship are competing to gain access essential services. According to Sue Richards, CEO of NSW Family Services, this pressure on services has led to children being unnecessarily removed from their parents.
