NSW Apologises for Forced Adoptions

New South Wales today joined South Australia, the Australian Capital Territory and Western Australia in apologising to those directly affected by forced adoption practices. The practice, where tens of thousands of babies were taken from their young mothers, began in the 1950’s and lasted up until the 1970’s. Today’s apology has renewed calls for the Federal Government to follow suit.
