North Korea’s overnight attack on an obscure South Korean Island is being treated very seriously by both South Korea and the international community . Although no lives were lost it’s the first time the North has attacked a civilian target . North Korea claims to have a uranium enrichment program and is presumed to be armed and dangerous. Dr Bronwyn Dalton from the University of Technology Sydney says the reasons behind the latest attack are a mix of domestic politics and the pain that the international community is inflicting on North Korea.
