The escalating conflict between North and South Korea has seen the North mobilise its forces including 70% of its submarine fleet. If this threatens the South Korean or Japanese sea lanes, then South Korea & the US Navy will react. The North are demanding the South cease their amplified cross border broadcasts but President Park’s policy is “no back-downs” and refuses to do this. If Kim Jong Un miss-steps on his brinksmanship, the result could be a disaster of”biblical proportions”as Seoul is within range of even conventional artillery from the North.
