No Budget for Housing on Northern Rivers
We’ve been hearing a lot about the federal government’s ten-billion dollar housing package and how it has failed to win the support of either the coalition opposition or The Greens in parliament.
But we’re yet to hear more about a promised two billion dollar boost in funding for community housing provider supporters, announced in Treasurer Jim Chalmer’s first national budget speech on Tuesday.

During that time, the work of community housing supporters like North Coast Housing and Social Futures has become crucial on the Northern Rivers and familiar to many communities.
