This morning the NSW police and the states bikies were in the same place at the same time with not a brawl in sight. Indeed all were in high spirits as the winner of the 2008 NSW Summer Blood Challenge was announced. Taking place between December and February each year, the Summer Blood Challenge is a competition between police and motorcycle groups to see can donate the most blood. Now in it’s 16th year, the friendly rivalry has managed to collect more than 30,000 donations. This year, for the second year running, the motorcyclists came out victorious. All up there were more than 5,300 donations, doubling the results of last year.
