After initial concerns about the future of NITV, SBS has just announced it will get its own channel. NITV will go to air on digital television at the end of the year offering exclusive Indigenous programming for Australians. To celebrate this historic moment for Indigenous media, the launch of NITV will be deadly with many Indigenous programs, such as Living Black, children content, and a performance at Uluru.

Since its launching in 2007 on cable TV, NITV has provided a wide variety of Indigenous content. On 12 December, SBS4 will be the home of NITV, entering to every Australian household.
