But while many bloggers write about current affairs or act as citizen journalists, they don’t have the same protections as professional journalists. In New Zealand this is all about to change. A New Zealand High Court has decided that a blogger can be classified as a journalist. It’s a decision that will have profound effects on the media around the world.
