Many an advertisers dream is to create media which can reach out and speak to viewers. The UN Voices project does just that. A series of outdoor posters in Sydney, the campaign features seven different faces, each highlighting an instance of abuse, poverty or neglect within Australia. The campaign literally aims to a give voice to survivors of domestic abuse, those living with HIV, and the homeless to name a few. The billboards encourage viewers to capture the image of the person’s mouth on their mobile phone camera and SMS it to the number featured on the poster. Their reward is a phone call with a pre-recorded message of the person’s story.
