Conservation organisation, World Wildlife Fund, has recently purchased two commercial fishing licenses on the Great Barrier Reef.

Their aim is to relieve the pressure on sharks and other threatened species that are often caught by fisheries, and to get the Queensland Government to commit to more sustainable management of the fishing industry.

But will this strategy actually work? And how important is it that we save our sharks?
