Research published in the Science journal earlier this month by chemical engineers at the University of Connecticut headed by Professor Jeffrey McCutcheon could optimise the desalination process with a super smooth polymer material.  UNSW Associate Professor Pierre le Clech discussed if it could be implemented in Australia and its impacts on water sustainability.
