A recent study in Queensland has found new results regarding Indigenous Australians who have been diagnosised with cancer.

A recent study by the Cancer Council of Queensland and the Menzies School of Health Research has found that Indigenous Australians who survive two years after a cancer diagnosis have a similar prognosis to non-Indigenous Australians. However, Professor Gail Garvey of the Menzies School of Health Research believes that more needs to be done in alerting Indigenous Australians of the dangers of cancer.
