Victoria’s Department of Families, Fairness and Housing have released their annual report and it has shown public housing wait times have increased up to 20 months for people identified as high priority.

This increase is 88 percent longer than the Victoria Government’s target of 10 and a half months.

The report has caused concern for those affected as well as organisations like the Council to Homeless Persons.

The CEO of Council to Homeless Persons, Deborah Di Natale, spoke with The Wire’s Zachary Probert to further discuss what this means for those reliant on public housing and what the best steps forward are.
