Can you imagine your life without being able to work or study? This is life for refugees living on a bridging visa in Australia. At this year’s Sydney Fringe Festival the experience for refugees in Australia, of waiting and hoping for the government to decide their fate, was explored in a new play: ‘If You Come to Australia’. It shares the true stories of five refugees who fled their homes, took the treacherous journey by sea and finally reached Australia. But they still have a journey ahead of them.
