In 2008, then Prime Minister Kevin Rudd gave his historic apology to the Stolen Generations. It was an emotional and moving day for Australians, Indigenous and non-Indigenous alike. And with a Constitutional referendum to recognise Indigenous Australians on the horizon, it seems that another significant day for reconciliation is approaching. However, the 1967 referendum to count Indigenous Australian in the census seems to have slipped Australia’s mind.
