A new children’s book was launched in Western Australia’s South West to help First Nations children and families understand a common skin disorder.
Eczema is widespread amongst children globally and incidents are growing in metropolitan communities.
Research has identified that up to 20 per cent of First Nations children in urban areas are affected by the condition.
Aboriginal Project Officer at Telethon Kid’s Institute, Jacinta Walton says Kaal Tackles Eczema was collaboratively developed to address a knowledge gap in skin health needs of the Koolungar community in urban areas.
