Mission Australia has released its 2009 National Youth Survey; one of the largest in the world, with almost 48, 000 young people taking part. Not surprisingly, the survey offers a different portrayal of young Australians to what you may have seen in the media, especially for the duration of schoolies over the past week. Drugs, suicide, and body image once again topped the list for issues of the most concern to youth.
