From the 10 – 18 August, the National Science Week will kick off with more than 2000 events across Australia. These events will not only be in capital cities, but also will reach regional and rural areas. The aim of the massive event is to approach people from all walks of life to showcase scientific topics and discoveries, reaching especially children.

For example, Australians will have the opportunity to discover how to discover wildlife with the Great Aussie BioQuest, a citizen project where people take photographs of wildlife in Australia and get rewards. The data coming from the public is used by scientists and researchers to investigate more about it.

Projects showcased in this event are Indigihack, Green Steel, etc.
