Australia’s first National Fear Survey has found that an increasing number of people don’t feel as safe now than they did before the events of September 11 in 2001. The Government-funded survey discovered that fear among the community is isolating Australian Muslims, in particular, leading to widespread distrust of the media and Government itself.
