Protesters gathered in Adelaide today outside the International Defence and Industry Conference and Trade Exhibition, being hosted by the Department of Defence. The protesters say they are dismayed by the move by South Australia Premier Mike Rann to encourage military arms manufacturers to set up bases in the state. But the organisers of the expo say that understanding our strategies for procuring defence capability is critical.
